This hotel brand website redesign included their online booking system. Online bookings are more important for this brand than their competitors because they don’t utilize Hotels.com, Expedia, or the other travel sites for bookings to the same degree. The user experience must be perfect or they stand to lose potential reservations.
I worked to properly define four different primary user groups, creating distinct user flows for each group. I identified likely paths of success for their utilization of the website and booking system.
To test the new process for booking a room, my company and I conducted user testing for two of the identified user groups. We developed clickable wireframe prototypes to save on design costs. Insights from these sessions helped steer revisions to the reservation process.
